General
About Surety Security
Surety Security is headquartered in Seattle, Washington at 929 N 130th St STE 11, Seattle WA 98133. We were founded in Seattle in 2022 and operate statewide across Washington.
Surety Security LLC provides unarmed security services. Prostasia Security LLC is our armed security division — same ownership, same management, same operational standards. Many clients work with both companies simultaneously. If your situation requires armed coverage, we'll handle the transition seamlessly.
Yes. Both Surety Security LLC and Prostasia Security LLC hold all required Washington State security guard agency licenses. We carry full general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage on all employees. Certificates of insurance are available upon request for any client or procurement office.
MBE stands for Minority Business Enterprise — a certification that verifies majority ownership and control by a minority individual. DBE is the African American Business Enterprise designation. These certifications matter for clients with diversity vendor requirements, government procurement programs, and corporate supplier diversity commitments. Surety Security holds both certifications and can provide documentation for qualifying procurement processes.
We serve seven primary industries: retail & loss prevention, construction sites, government & public sector, corporate & commercial, healthcare & behavioral health, hospitality & events, and residential communities & HOAs. We have active contracts in every one of these sectors across Washington State.
Getting Started
Working with Surety Security
We visit your property, walk the site with you, identify security vulnerabilities, and discuss your specific concerns. Within 24 hours we deliver a written security proposal including recommended staffing, coverage schedule, and pricing. There's no obligation, no pressure, and no cost.
Most new clients are fully staffed within within 12 hours of contract signing. For urgent situations — an active threat, a sudden staffing gap, or an immediate need — we can often mobilize within 24–48 hours. Call us directly at (206) 659-7113 for urgent requests.
The basics: your property address, the type of facility, the coverage hours and days you need, the number of posts or patrol routes, and any specific security concerns. Everything else we can gather during the free site walk. You don't need to have it all figured out before you call.
Contract terms vary depending on the type of engagement. Ongoing security programs typically involve a service agreement, while one-time events and short-term needs can be handled with more flexible arrangements. We'll discuss what's appropriate for your situation during the assessment process.
Our Officers
Guard Standards & Training
Yes. All Surety Security officers hold valid Washington State security guard licenses. Armed officers through Prostasia hold the additional armed guard license required by state law. We do not deploy unlicensed officers under any circumstances.
All officers undergo background screening as required by Washington State licensing — and we go further. Every Surety Security officer must have prior security industry experience before joining our team. All officers are CPR certified. Armed officers through Prostasia undergo enhanced screening beyond standard requirements. We don't hire entry-level guards and put them on client sites — the quality of our officer pool is the foundation of our reputation.
Yes — de-escalation is a core competency for all Surety Security and Prostasia officers. This is especially important in behavioral health, government, and healthcare environments where volatile interactions require a measured, professional response. We train officers to resolve situations through presence and communication before any physical intervention.
Yes. We offer standard Surety Security uniforms as well as custom uniform configurations for clients who require officers to match a specific look or brand standard. This is common in hospitality and luxury retail environments. Discuss your requirements during the security quote and we'll accommodate where possible.
Armed Security
Prostasia Security — Armed Services
Armed security is appropriate when unarmed deterrence alone is insufficient for your risk level. Indicators include: documented incidents or crime history, high-value merchandise or elevated cash handling, behavioral health or crisis environments, public-facing government facilities, and situations where your team or clientele face credible elevated risk. We assess this honestly during your site walk and never recommend armed coverage where it isn't genuinely warranted.
Armed officers carry firearms appropriate to the deployment and authorized under their Washington State armed security license. Specific weapons configurations are discussed as part of the contract and post order development process for each armed deployment.
Yes. Prostasia Security provides armed coverage for events when the event profile warrants it — high-profile gatherings, events with significant cash handling, VIP protection scenarios, or venues with documented elevated risk. We assess event security requests individually and recommend the appropriate mix of armed and unarmed coverage.
Services
Specific Security Services
Mobile patrol involves a security officer in a marked vehicle conducting scheduled or randomized patrol rounds of your property. GPS tracking documents every route. It's a cost-effective alternative or complement to stationary guards — particularly effective for large properties, real estate portfolios, construction sites, and HOA communities. Learn more about mobile patrol.
Fire watch is required by the International Fire Code (IFC) Section 901.7 when your building's fire suppression system is impaired, and during and after hot work operations on construction sites. A fire watch officer conducts continuous patrols, monitors for fire conditions, and maintains a log for your Authority Having Jurisdiction. Learn more about fire watch.
Yes — HOA and residential community security is one of our active sectors. We hold a current armed patrol contract with a master-planned community in Pierce County and are listed on the WMFHA vendor platform. We work directly with HOA boards to define patrol routes, coverage hours, enforcement scope, and reporting formats. Learn more about HOA security.
We use the Belfry Security platform for all client reporting. Incident reports are sent instantly to you and any designated contacts the moment they are filed — no waiting until end of shift. Routine patrol logs are compiled automatically and delivered by email after each shift. Every client gets real-time GPS-tracked guard activity, automated checkpoint verification, and accurate billing records. You always know exactly what is happening on your property, around the clock.
Our incident response SLA is 30–45 minutes — a supervisor is dispatched and on site within that window. This is a firm commitment on every active contract, not a best-effort target. Incident details are logged and reported instantly through Belfry so you have full visibility before our supervisor even arrives on site.
Yes. Surety Security provides ATSSA-certified traffic control and flagging services across Washington State. We have 16–30 certified flaggers on staff holding ATSSA Flagging Certification, Washington State Work Zone Traffic Control (WZTC) certification, OSHA 10/30, and a Flagger Instructor on the team. We serve construction sites, utility and road work, government and public works projects, and special events. Learn more about our traffic control services.
97%. We retain 97% of our clients annually — a number that reflects consistent officer quality, responsive management, and the kind of ownership involvement that national security franchises simply can't match. Our officer retention rate is 85% with an average officer tenure of 18 months, which means your site is staffed by experienced guards who know your property — not a rotating cast of new hires.
